Park View Project wants to understand the limitations of digital access in North Tyneside that adversely impact on numerous aspects of older people lives. Although we have accessed major policy think tanks to get a breakdown of the extent of not being digitally connected, this is only a fragmented picture. We know there are 1 in 4 people living in North Tyneside living with a chronic illness, which are excluded from UK wide statistics because they are not online. We know that social context and economic activity paly a huge part regarding affordability never mind limitations imposed by poor levels of basic digital skills.
